 The island above is named Ynys Gored Goch. A gored is a type of tidal fish trap. 
 
 The photograph, above right, was taken from within 1 metre of the position where I took a nearly identical photograph 51 years ago when I was on a cycling tour of North Wales. The only difference is that the trees have grown somewhat higher since I was there previously. 
 The Britannia Bridge, above, was was designed by Robert Stephenson and William Fairburn and built in 1850 to carry the railway to Anglesey.
